The Drone Cycle was a monthly series of ambient drone concerts dreamSTATE performed in 2000 with a different special guest each show. The guests were very special: Wally Jericho - trumpet, Kurt Swinghammer - guitar, Michael Rockwood - guitar, Mark Thibideau - synth, Arnold Sprogis - guitar, Eric Hopper (Sylken) - guitar, Cheryl Ockrant - cello, Steven Sauvé - synths, Andrew Aldridge - guitar, Richard Underhill - sax and sampler, Jakob Thiesen - electronics, Stuart Clark - electronics, Matt Thibideau - synth and Joe G - synths.

In December 2024 dreamSTATE released a 12-track album with music selected from each show. A piece was added each month of 2024 from the original recordings to celebrate The Drone Cycle's 2nd "Chromatic Anniversary". Each track had a unique cover embroidered by fiber-artist Lynn Harrigan. You'll find all the details on Bandcamp now.

In 2025 a CD release with all 12 tracks is also now available through Bandcamp.

The Drone Cycle will also being released to Spotify, Apple Music and all the other streaming platforms.
