Michael Rockwood, our featured guest for the Drone Cycle 2000 on March 14th, had invited us to open for his band, zoebliss at their Toronto CD release party on the 11th. We were glad that we could reciprocate and thus ended up playing for a crowd not expecting our improvisational ambient ooze. Fortunately, while I'm sure some were perplexed, we received a warm response from the crowd and had a really good time performing. We invited Michael to join us for the end of our set and therefore gained some insight into what he'd be bringing to our Drone night, only 3 days later. After packing up the gear we were able to enjoy zoebliss's set and (owning an advance copy of their new CD) I can say that they took the songs to an even higher level on that night. They're definitely a group worth catching live. ~ Scott M2
